I got into a little pissing contest with my domain host after they got some complaints from the slumdog community.
Perhaps not surprisingly, we have received a complaint about your site, itgrunt.com.
Let me start this by saying that we do indeed support free speech, and we do not take action against against "opinionated" sites without due consideration.
But Kevin, when you talk about, "polish[ing] up the USMC-issue Beretta...and aim[ing] for the red dots" you cross the line of free speech and land solidly and unmistakably in the hate speech camp. If I worked at the university you mentioned I would be on the phone to the FBI. Right now. And if you think they would brush off what you wrote as unworthy of investigation, you are mistaken. Trust me, I deal with federal agents as part of my job quite regularly, and they tend to get very wound up over much less.
Please explain this as well; "...corrupt Desi sys-admin at his ISP..." It nags me from under every post on your site. You are preemptively insulting members of our staff who you imagine to be Indian. That's kind of a dumb move, my friend. You dug that hole for yourself, and now you're stuck in it.
We all work in an industry that is being affected by the issues you complain about. Complaining is one thing, lobbying for change is one thing, but threatening or implying the use of violence as often as you do on your site is quite another. You can couch it in clever terms or hide behind your "disclaimer" but it is what it is. We are not children here, so let's speak as men, shall we?
You don't leave us much choice in this matter. I don't want to disable a site that confronts the issues you deal with, I believe they are important. But we cannot be party to continued threats, real or implied.
So you tell me what you intend to do. If you are determined to continue on the same path you've taken, we are not going to be able to host the site. I for one, am not willing to sit next to you in the courtroom if/when this shit hits the fan. But if we continue to support your site after being made aware of its contents, that's precisely the position we'll be in, and we're going to do all we can to avoid that.
So I'm in the middle of transferring my domain to, ironically, an offshore hosting company in Panama.
I expect that the sys-admin who has been sending me the threatening, profanity-laced emails will pull the plug any minute on my site, and it will take a day or two to restore the blog from backups. This hippie freak seems to think that innuendo and double entendre are federal crimes, just because some Indians threatened him.
BTW, I have a few fans at the DOJ, DOL, and FBI. Many feds are ex-military and have better things to do than harass another vet. Now, as for rounding up slumdogs and prosecuting them, well, that is another story.
It is amazing how ignorant the slumdogs are about our laws. Amazing, but not surprising. Laws don't mean shit to the average slumdog. They are just rules meant to be broken or used as weapons.
I just read that even homosexuality was illegal in India, and, though rarely prosecuted, the laws were used to harass enemies. Also, bloggers are frequently sued and arrested in India.
Thus is the nature of the enemy -- a culture that is steeped in corruption and one that does not share our values. That is why the fight is so important. There are millions of them waiting, lurking, plotting, to be deployed to America to shove their vile caste culture down our throats.

Right on Rat! Panama is a great country. I am considering moving all my wealth there as there is ZERO income tax there. Many Americans already have. You can get a bank CD @ 7% tax free there - not the shit 2.5% taxed @ 50% we have here. I would even consider moving there. Only downside is PLA controls the canal now.
Indians have no concept of laws (see the blogs about the epidemic of shoplifting in SF by slumdogs who aren't even aware it's illegal to walk out of stores with merchandise without paying for it first).

Millions of Americans are getting wise and exploiting the global economy. The rest of the world does, so why shouldn't we? If you were such an IT guy you would host your own server and maintain it. You wouldn't resort to shipping it out and because of you a few Americans have lost their jobs! Considering the time you have to maintain the blog, I don't see why a few firewalls and a server can't do the job?

Who has time to maintain their own servers? There are all kinds of issues like power failures, backups, etc. Without a colo it's a huge headache. We working Americans have better things to do with our time like work and actually write some software that WORKS (not just faking slumdog failures like Spectramind and Vista).
No one in their right mind would want to host their own servers when you can have an ISP do it for you and deal with all those problems for $5/mo.
Oh wait - there is one group of people who might want to host their own servers: unemploued slumdogs in India who have nothing better to do because they are eternally unemployed. They don't seem to be interested in picking up the trash around them or building a sewer or clean water system. If they have time to defecate in the open they sure have time to host their own servers.
